VALENTINE'S SPECIAL
EDITION

A flower that wilts in a few days is hardly representative of what love is meant to be.

Why not gift a rose that lasts forever?

How it's made:

In a world of rush and mass production, a paper flower feels different.

Created slowly, intentionally, made to last.

It's actually quite a long and fun process. Thanks to some great crepe-paper artists's knowledge out there, I experimented with different techniques, mixing and matching based on the flower requirement.

First, the paper is either dyed naturally with coffee, left in the sun for a bleached effect, or hand-coloured with pastels/acrylics.

Then, it gets laminated, doubling the thickness and giving it some width to keep the shape.

Every petal is hand cut and shaped and then glued on a floral wire, made thicker with some recycled paper.

It takes me a minimum of 40 minutes to create a bloom, but it can increase up to a few hours for complicated flowers like Dhalias.

It's a real labour of love and art!
